Our Affiliation

Since 1st July 1959, when ownership of Wetpups was transferred to St Andrew's College in Grahamstown, the two schools have had a close affiliation.  This close relationship is maintained at all levels from the Council to the boys who regularly embark on tours between the two schools.  One of Wetpups' objectives is to act as a feeder school to St Andrew's and at the start of each year a number of ‘Old Wetpups' are welcomed to the St Andrew's College campus.

West to East Cape Adventure Tour

Each year St Andrew's College organises a trip to Grahamstown in late March for prospective Grade 8 children to visit the campus.  Pupils are introduced to St Andrew's and the Diocesan School for Girls, and are able to see what the schools have to offer and experience first hand boarding school life.  The programme also includes lots of fun activities and getting to know the beautiful Eastern Cape, with visits to a game park and the beach.  (Please note the group is restricted to 20 pupils.)

Please contact Mrs Lynne Mullins on 046 603 2310 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for the full programme and details for application.

Scholarships

A number of scholarships are awarded to prospective St Andrew's College pupils.  Recipients are pupils who have excelled in examinations written early in the Grade 7 year prior to going to St Andrew's.  These scholarships range in value according to whether they are a minor or major scholarship.  The financial position of the parents is not taken into account in the awarding of scholarships, but scholarships may be augmented by a bursary in certain cases.  For more details, please contact Mrs Mullins via the contact details above.
