Introducing the Board of Governors

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the members of the Board. The pictures set out give the faces, names and portfolios of each of the members. As you can see the body is made up of members of staff, St Andrew 's College appointed members, invited members and parent elected representatives.

The Board was established and is regulated through the school constitution.(a copy of which can be found on the WPPS website). The body meets twice a term. Members are allocated portfolios and, in many cases, are involved in sub committees that feed back into the Boards' reporting and governance program.

The primary responsibility of the Board is to provide governance as opposed to day-to-day management the school. This includes responsibility for achieving the best education for the boys, financial stability and the overall conduct of the school. The management of the school is the responsibility of the staff and, more importantly, the Headmaster and his Deputies.

The intention of the Board is, wherever possible to provide feedback to staff and parents so that the governance process becomes transparent and inclusive. Please feel free to contact me or any members of the Board should you have any questions regarding the governance of the school.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the Board for their time and effort that make this body and school a pleasure to serve.

Yours faithfully

Neil Warren
Chairman of the Board of Governors
